Health Data Analyst (ICD)

Purpose The Health Data Analyst (ICD) will bring strong ICD coding experience and knowledge to a growing heathcare solutions consulting team. The Health Data Analyst (ICD) will be responsible for analyzing client business problems and opportunities in the context of ICD-9 / ICD-10 requirements. Collaborating with clients and other consultants, the Health Data Analyst (ICD) is responsible for understanding the clients’ goals and needs, analyzing requirements specific to each client’s environment, assessing business impacts and risks, and making recommendations that enable the clients to reach their goals. The Health Data Analyst (ICD) will also provide training and mentoring at both the executive and detail level in the areas of ICD-9 / ICD-10 as needed.

Skill/Knowledge/Experience Required In addition to possessing proven coding and terminology expertise, WPC’s Health Data Analyst (ICD) must have multiple years of experience successfully leading clients through processes, policies and information system changes as related to coding. WPC’s Health Data Analyst (ICD) is expected to identify and understand interactions and opportunities for solutions between different WPC customer engagements and different parts of WPC’s lines of business.

Years of Experience 7 - 10 years, with at least 5 years in the health care / insurance industry
Management Experience Desired but not necessary
Education Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Medical Billing and Coding, Nursing, or related field
Certifications CPC, CCA, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or other medical coding certifications preferred, but not required
Other Skills/Knowledge Health care payers, providers, clearinghouses, EDI, HL7, NCPDP, revenue cycle and claims processing operations

Responsibilities

Meeting with business and technical leaders to elicit and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems in the context of ICD-9 / ICD-10 requirements
Researching, recommending, and documenting coding strategies and business / technical workflow process recommendations ensuring business / IT compliance with ICD-10 regulatory requirements
Planning, conducting and coordinating impact analysis of business process changes and enhancements related to ICD-10 readiness and compliance
Developing and managing processes for identification and quantification of operational impact metrics for ICD-10 readiness and compliance
Increasing project productivity and effectiveness by working within defined standards, best practices and promoting reuse of ideas and solutions related to WPC’s services
Providing training and mentoring at both the executive and detail level in the areas of ICD-9 / ICD-10
Assisting project leaders and team members with definition of project tasks, escalating and resolving issues, identifying risks, resource allocation and tracking, maintaining schedules and project timelines, and providing internal and external communications
Ensuring solutions and service offerings are continuously improved and aligned with WPC’s direction and goals
Working with sales and service delivery staff to accurately estimate, size and structure potential customer engagement teams
Actively contribute to the creation of sales material in cooperation with the Sales and Marketing staff for ICD-10 related topics

MINIMUM ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years consulting experience with oversight of ICD-9 / ICD-10 assessment and training projects and 5 years in the health care/ insurance industry
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory, accreditation & compliance environment
SOLID business architecture background (payer and provider)
SOLID healthcare background (ICD-10, ARRA, Meaningful Use)
SOLID experience in writing requirements and the general requirements management process
Excellent verbal and written communications skills managing expectations and message delivery consisely at all organizational levels
Knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of anticipating customer needs and exceeding customer expectations
Detail Oriented – must be able to define, deliver, and manage to a high level of quaility
Must be proactive and able to work independently with little oversight, as well as part of a team
Experience in and able to work in smaller company structure

Senior BizTalk Developer

Purpose Design, development, testing and deployment support for BizTalk 2010 Server and .NET framework based solutions. Solid experience in implementing ESB with BizTalk Server. Proficient with Business Rules Framework, BizTalk Server Accelerators, Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). Proven experience with .NET 3.5 Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Service Orientated Architecture (SOA). Solid SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS and T-SQL programming. Experience with technologies IIS, Windows Service, SOAP, WSDL, and XML.

Skill/Knowledge/Experience Required The Senior BizTalk Developer will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing BizTalk solutions within mature technology environments. Document detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed applications modules and develop/enhance software application modules. Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures. Position will require the ability to successfully interact with clients, present professional and personable communication skills.

Years of Experience 7-10 years hands-on development with Enterprise Application Integration with BizTalk Server. 4-7 years of ASP.NET, C#, ADO.NET. Visual Studio 2010
Management Experience Desired but not necessary
Education Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience
Certifications Microsoft certifications are not required, but preferred
